Luce Scholars

The Henry Luce Foundation seeks curious, adaptable, humble, and open-minded applicants with a commitment to serving and supporting others. The Luce Scholars Program is especially interested in supporting young professionals who have had limited exposure to Asia.

To be eligible, you must be:

• A US citizen or permanent resident
• College senior, graduate student, or recent graduate (defined as having completed your bachelor’s degree in the previous 3 years)
• Under 32 years old at time of departure

Luce Scholars typically have:

• An interest in and embrace of diverse perspectives, beliefs, and modes of living
• Proven commitment to serving and supporting others
• Adaptability, resilience, and humility
• A vision for how their career trajectory would be served by experience in one of the Luce-eligible countries

Candidates are evaluated on the basis of leadership and accomplishment. Luce Scholars come from a variety of backgrounds, including, but not limited to, the arts, journalism, law, medicine, public health, science, business, environmental studies, and international relations.
